One of Hip Hops greatest albums to date, Doggystyle, was released on November 23, 1993 and introduced the world to Snoop Doggy Dogg. This release would launch an illustrious 20+ year career, including 14 studio albums, countless other musical features, and an ever-growing acting career. Snoop Dogg, as he is now commonly known as, has made and maintained a career that many can only dream of. To have such a long and prosperous career, Snoop Dogg has found a way to remain relevant across generations. He has reinvented himself over and over again, and has never shied away from doing what he wants to musically or otherwise. As featured on the Rolling Stone Magazine of his 2016 concert.

DJ QUIK

Widely known and highly respected, DJ Quik is a Compton, California rapper and producer. Classic albums such as, Quik Is The Name (1990)andWay 2 Funky (1992) solidified DJ Quik in the 90’s Gangster Rap era of Hip Hop. Having put out several other albums since then, DJ Quik furthered his career by producing for others.Known for his unique style of production, DJ Quik has been sought out by artists such as Jay-Z, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and many more to work on their projects. Most recently, in 2016, DJ Quik put out the EP, Rosecrans, a collaboration he did with Compton native rapper, Problem.

THA DOGG POUND

Made up of rappers Daz Dillenger and Kurupt, Tha Dogg Pound is a gangster rap duo from the West Coast. They broke into Hip Hop in the early 90’s, while being featured on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic (1992) and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle (1993) albums. Being originally signed to Deathrow Records, Tha Dogg Pound proved to be instrumental to the labels success. They released Dogg Food on Halloween 1995, which topped the Billboard charts. With the murder of 2Pac in 1996, and other in house ordeals that led to  their departure from Deathrow Records, both Daz Dillenger and Kurupt moved on to make solo careers for themselves.  Tha Dogg Pound has since then reunited to put out albums including Cali Iz Active (2006), Dogg Chit (2007), 100 Wayx (2010), and Doggy Bag  (2012). Currently, Daz Dillenger and Kurupt work both as Tha Dogg Pound and as solo artist continue working on new music and projects.

BONE THUGS N HARMONY

This group made up of 5 very skilled emcees hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, is one of Hip Hop’s most revered groups of all time. With rapid, melodic, and conscious lyrics and delivery, Bone Thugs N Harmony caught the eye of the late Easy E, in the mid-1990’s. Signed to his Ruthless Records, Bone Thugs and Harmony released Creepin On Ah Come Up in 1994, and quickly rose to fame. ’95 would see their second studio release with E 1999 Eternal, which produced hits 1stof the Month and Tha Crossroads, which would be a dedication to Easy E whom had just passed away.  Over the years, the members Bizzy Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, Krazy Bone, Layzie Bone, and Wish Bone have gone on to pursue solo careers, but the group still comes together for shows and projects such as the BTNH Resurrection in 2000 and 2010’s Uni5: The Worlds Enemy.

WARREN G

One of the originators of the Hip Hop sub genre G Funk, Warren G is most identified by the song Regulators (1994) featuring Nate Dogg. Warren G along with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg formed the group 213 as teenagers, and this led to Warren G introducing the group to his step brother Dr. Dre. Snoop Dogg went on to continue working heavily with Dr. Dre, while Warren G, although he did work with Dr. Dre as well, decided to make sure he pursued his career away from his step-brother’s shadow. He did just that with the release of Regulate…G Funk Era (1994). Warren G went on to make a prominent career as not just a rapper, but also a producer. He produced tracks with Dr. Dre and produced for artists such as Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, MC Breed, and more. His most recent release was in 2015, titled Regulate… G Funk Era Pt II which included unreleased work he had done with the late Nate Dogg.
